We have a new Hobby Lobby in our neighborhood. I’ll go there tomorrow and buy a couple of these. I love ‘em......but then again, I’m racist.....(rolling eyes).
George Washington did the deed with an axe:
1) lumberjacks use axes to work on trees that are then turned into lumber to build houses. Therefore, all lumberjacks are racist and you cannot live is a wood house.
2) firemen use axes to put out house fires. Therefore all firemen are racist and you should not call the fire department if your house catches on fire.
3) arborist use axes to prune trees. Therefore all arborist are racist and you should not have any trees in your yard.
George Washington had false teeth.
Dentists make false teeth. Therefore all dentists are racist and you should never visit a dentist again.
This is fun!
Perhaps the statue fervor was fading from the headlines and they needed a new non-issue to get offended about.
I’m also pretty convinced that a lot of this is designed to keep other issues OUT of the headlines. (Lots of Democrat crimes coming to light that could send a lot of them to prison. And good news they don’t want known: Black income UP under Trump. Black unemployment DOWN under Trump.)
“Linen is cotton”
Did you flunk fifth grade?
“Linen fabric is made from the cellulose fibers that grow inside of the stalks of the flax plant, or Linum usitatissimum, one of the oldest cultivated plants in human history.”
"Not look"?? Sorry, that isn't enough. You better move immediately lest you be be branded "RACIST." If I were you, I'd call the moving company first thing tomorrow morning.
Only a cottonheaded ninny muggings would be offended, frightened and threatened at the sight of a plant. If it wasn’t cotton it would be something else. The entitled Rentamob are in a class all their own regarding the business of being professionally offended.
The “professionally offended” are by definition those that make money from others’ marginalisation. They benefit from prolonging inequality and maximising the emotional pain of others by spreading grievances as far and wide as possible. They do this as leverage for personal financial gain.
I will be going to my local Hobby Lobby tomorrow. If they have the decoration in question, I will buy it.
The Allegedly Oppressive Group Versus Allegedly Oppressed Groups Narrative is a basis for transferring cash, rights, and the future.
The last 150+ years would have been radically different.
We’re getting dangerously close to no longer being able to find watermelon to eat in the US.
I used to drive past lots of cotton in Texas. I’ve seen lots of big green things pick cotton, but I’ve NEVER seen a slave pick cotton!
Me? Cotton jeans, cotton socks, cotton T-shirts and cotton dress shirts. I like long-sleeve cotton shirts for wear during an Arizona summer. Cotton underwear.
None of it made by slaves, or from cotton picked by slaves!
When I see a field of cotton, I smile. I don’t sing Dixie. I don’t long for the days of keepin’ the black man down! I’d worry it was because the cotton is white like me, but my arms are even redder than my neck.
There has GOT to be something I need from Hobby Lobby.
In France, I see often decors of fleur de cotton in restaurants, hotels and homes. It’s a cheap, convenient and low maintenance decorative ingredient in bouquets of dry flowers. In a correct setting, it can even be chic.
We French were notorious slave owners and traders. Decorative cotton flower has never shocked anybody, so far.
Is this the beginning of a campaign to eliminate from our society anything that Negroes ate, wore, or used or worked on before, say, 1910?
I wonder if she is offended after
opening a bottle of aspirin?
