Since we stopped watching the Former Niners, NFL/BLM on any day, night and ESPN, we will never know who this rectum is.
Sergio doesn’t look like most Mexicans that come to the USA. ESPN actually hired a Mexican of European descent. I guess they wanted to check the box for Mexican. Not very PC of them.
She was not good — but was a bit better than Rex Ryan! Combined, they were the worst broadcast team ever assembled. Had they been calling the early game, I would have muted the tv and listened to the radio broadcast. I didn’t have a dog in the Donkeys/ Bolts game so I turned it off rather than just be annoyed by them. It’s a shame that ESPN doesn’t care about their product.
I listened to 30 secs of his dissertation-———and that was it.

Agree. Her play-by-play was shallow and the pitch of her voice was harsh. I saw the diversity guy on the field, shook my head, but couldn’t survive her in the booth. Sad - I was looking forward to the game but couldn’t tolerate the coverage.

I watched the Rockies instead and only checked back for scores and the end of the game.
Posts like these are good reminders why I watch very little sports on TV. Phil Mushnick’s column in the NY Post is another one.
He got a great gig with ESPN because he’s a Mexican. He is now a victim because he sucks at it.
So when they score a touchdown, does he yell, "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!"
Back when ESPN started, they were called the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network in 1979. As of 1985, they dropped the name and became ESPN Inc. and are a U.S.-based global cable and satellite sports television channel owned by Disney and as a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company (which operates the network) and the Hearst Corporation (which owns a 20% minority share).
These companies are two of the most liberal corporations on the planet. Disney’s use, (or misuse) of what is supposed to be described as sports commenting has happened many times before. Enough that ESPN sent out this directive in April of this year:

Of course they insinuated they were going to not go in any political direction with generic comments that related to the times. And last night’s rave is an ex the disingenuousness of their intents. But Sage Steele, a conservative, black woman and show commentator made the comment:
““There are times that I believe that we, as African-Americans, can be hypocritical, and that is to not look ourselves in the mirror when we are saying certain things and blaming other groups for one thing when we are doing the exact same thing,” Steele said.”
This, of course, is a real 180 from what ESPN has been selling their wares on for years.
The next day, the network announced they were replacing Steele on their show “NBA Countdown” with Michelle Beadle, who has taken to Twitter to express her dissatisfaction with President Trump on the regular. See the correlation?
ESPN is saying they haven’t fired Steele from the network, they’ve simply moved her from her role on “NBA Countdown” to join their “Sports Center on the Road” initiative. To me, this sounds like a demotion.
If that’s what it sounds like, all I can say is, Everyone loves being kicked out of a gig where they show up at the same place every day in order to be put on a bus and travel around the country. People love traveling every day of their working lives. But the reason for it, is more than startling. It is flat dishonest.

That woman sounded like a chipmunk. Good gravy I couldn’t handle that voice. As soon as I saw her I knew it was going to be bad. Turned the sound off. Gruden wasn’t much better in the earlier game. It’s the last one I’m watching, Oh for the days of Dandy Don, Frank and Howard.

The Rooney Rule is a National Football League policy that requires league teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching and senior football operation jobs. It is sometimes cited as an example of affirmative action, though there is no quota or preference given to minorities in the “hiring” of candidates. It was established in 2003.
You can get back to the point that if they had to be interviewed, what are their qualifications other than skin color. By establishing this type of private affirmative action program, and leaving it up to the organizations to consider their capacity, is like putting anyone up to the plate to hit against a professional pitcher. The owners know it won’t work, but they have to do it to give someone a chance so they can appear to be the good guys.
And if you don’t think it is being watched, in 2003, the NFL fined the Detroit Lions $200,000, (which for them is chump change), for failure to interview African-American candidates for the team’s vacant head coaching job. After Marty Mornhinweg was fired, the Lions immediately hired former San Francisco 49ers head coach Steve Mariucci to replace him without interviewing any other candidates. They claim they tried but all the black candidates determined they were not going to get the job from Mooch and refused to interview.
And it can go the other way, too. There are a confirmed 8 minority coaches in the NFL this year. (that only counts head coaches, not assistants of which there are a lot more) As there are 32 teams, then that stacks up to 25% of the league. The current percentage of blacks in the US population according to the US Census Bureau is 13%. Is the lack of consistency any different in this direction than it was in the other before they got, on the surface, politically correct?
So it eventually ends up where the owners wanted it. Appearances. And not sport. So buy your jerseys and have your tailgates with tickets that cost about the same price as a Buick. And toss your money at millionaires that laugh at you all the way to the bank. And as they continue to turn the game more and more into criminality and lies so you’ll show, they win. That means you lose.

Might I suggest English Premiership Rugby on NBC Sports. Good announcers, plenty of hitting (but without pads or helmets) and no politics (except for the occasional moment of silence after another ROP murder spree). The game is different than football, of course, but similar enough to get a decent feel of what’s going on.
Dear Lord that woman announcer and Rex Ryan were bloody AWFUL last night.
