The Justice Department says it will not prosecute former IRS executive Lois Lerner for targeting conservative groups during the 2010 and 2012 elections.
In a letter to top Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee, Assistant Attorney General Kevin Brady said that after a careful review of the case, DOJ will not pursue charges against Lerner, who oversaw the IRS division that reviewed tax exempt organizations.
After this process, the Department determined that reopening the investigation would not be appropriate based on the available evidence, Boyd wrote Texas Rep. Kevin Brady, the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, and Illinois Rep. Peter Roskam, the chairman of the subcommittee on tax policy.
In April, Brady and Roskam asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions to review the Lerner case and to consider whether she should be charged with a crime.

They are going to keep screwing around until one day Americans, fed up with the destruction of our country’s legal and justice system, will take things into their own hands. When that happens these swamp dwellers can scream and cry that it’s not their fault but there will be no mercy.
This country is filled with good, law abiding people but they will only wait so long then they will take care of it. Are the people in DC so stupid they don’t see it?
Sessions needs to go!
Was this on Nancy’s list for the President to do so she and Chuck would continue to let him grovel in their presence?
We are not going to eat much more of this crap sandwich.
Trump doesn’t want the IRS leaking his tax returns ... which would happen if his administration pursues any legal action against the IRS. Even former employees ...
“The rule of law doesnt apply to government officials.”
THIS is the bottom line and the truth of what we citizens of the USA have to get used to, like it or not...
Unless we choose to go drastic..
“This country is filled with good, law abiding people but they will only wait so long then they will take care of it. Are the people in DC so stupid they dont see it?”
I hear you loud and clear. However, every day, year, election cycle that goes by, they shore up their power over us while simultaneously dwindling ours.
We’ll be living in a “Hunger Games” world not very long from now.
When Session said he was asking for the resignations of all the U.S. District Attorneys, did he follow with actually replacing them, or was it all a political slight of hand to please the 60+ million who elected Trump, while, at the end of the day doing nothing really - nothing other than accepted a DOJ formed over eight years by Obama.
Google is cooperating with the deep state; making it next to impossible to find search result links for how many district attorney nominations of Trump have been confirmed - after Session asked all of them to resign.
I think part of the reality is that during the transition replacing all of the district attorneys got none to little attention, of planning, and new ones did not start going forward to Congress for their nominations until June. That left in place and in charge all the career Assistant District Attorneys.
Trump and Sessions should have (1) gotten a list of all pending cases, and (2) made decisions telling all the DOJ which cases to hold off on, to not proceed with them until determined by the new District Attorneys Trump was appointing.
Instead, they - Trump and Sessions - are allowing the deep state and DOJ to decide cases WRONGLY and favoring Obama and Clinton.
This guy is selling us out.
Just another stumble bum covering for the elites.
Worthless criminals all.
This is but a prettied up version of what Comey said about Hillary's criminal acts: "No reasonable attorney would attempt to prosecute this case."
For the f'n feds the f'n fix is in.
