well, with the influx of the third world into this country, we may well need to protect the entire population again in the not too distant future.
Some people have a strange fascination with dangerous stuff.
It sounds like this is one of them.
The son of friend of mine got good grades in school and then the same in college. His dream job was to work for the CDC in Atlanta. About 10 years ago, he landed his dream job and moved to Georgia. Six months later, I saw him in front of his parent’s home cutting the grass.
I stopped and said, “Peter, I though you moved to Atlanta.”
He told me the work was interesting, but you only get ONE mistake and you you die a horrible death in a quarantine ward.
He’d had his fill of working with deadly pathogens and quit while he was ahead.
[He now works for a local pharmaceutical company making and testing salves.]
CA? Probably.
The smallpox virus and vaccine are not the same. The vaccine cannot cause smallpox. The labs are likely researching an improved vaccine or its modification into an anticancer agent.
The vaccinia virus is a modified cowpox virus, which gives immunity to pox viruses, including smallpox. It is *not* smallpox.
There are a few efforts underway to develop other vaccines using the vaccinia “backbone.” That is most likely what this company is doing.
Does smallpox render the patient incapable of forming a coherent sentence? The author might be infected.
Not going to bother reading anything written so badly!
If that’s a blog, the writer better pick another hobby...
Because SoCal is exporting cultural terrorism, actual terrorists, and has become basically Chechnya?
