My suspicion is that Clinton told her to depose Hillary and bring the email investigation to an end. Because only days later, Comey did a deposition of Hillary and then brought the investigation to an end.
This was no deposition. It was friendly sit down. Depositions require that the person being questioned is under oath and the questions and answers are recorded.
