After 30 years in the Environmental Protection Agency, Elizabeth “Betsy” Southerland has quit her post in a rejection of the direction the agency is taking under Administrator, Scott Pruitt. Whilst the media are having a field day with the news, it’s important to remember that Southerland had a hand in some of the most wasteful, damaging policies that have come out of the EPA in recent decades.
If we look back to the beginning of her time in the EPA, scandals regarding the use of “near criminal” science and “fraudulent” data are rife. Congressman John Dingell (D-Mich.) said that “It (the EPA) cooks the books with great vigor.” And that they are using information to create expensive policy that has been put out by a scientist who “cooked the books” and performed “criminally fraudulent work.”

They’ve been stealing land from owners for dozens of years by designating mud puddles as wetlands and useless critters as endangered. Eliminate the whole agency.

and, sucking a pension and healthcare from our taxes to boot. Ugh

She could be ‘convicted’ etc of many thing but one can imagine ‘they’ can’t/won’t touch her retirement package and one can imagine she will NOT be burdened with BOScare either.
Only one who has retirement package ‘messed with’ is retired Military.
One can have served 35 years in Army and get 5 parking tickets and one speeding ticket and ‘they’ want to strip him of what he ‘earned’.
Of course THEN they use the excuse the guy showed poor behavior and with his past etc he should have ‘know better’ or use better judgement.
AGAIN, the POLs ‘prove’ they are corrupt by nature as they seemingly aren’t held to the ‘same standards’.
I will cite Rostenkowski as my ‘favorite’ example.
Of course ‘they’ get to make the rules, so are basically exempted from most charges.

To say she quit because of Trump is just propaganda. She was a federal employee with 30 years service. Truth is she retired.
