Our PBS station also showed old English first division games in the 70s (no PL back then).

Nottingham Forest/Liverpool games were incredible.

Thanks to those shows I think I knew every player (and what club they played for) on the England and (West) Germany rosters for the 82/86/90 World Cups.

I just remembered when Kevin Keegan was playing for Hamburg. We had a guy on my high school team, that looked just like him......All the girls were crazy for him, LOL.

Ah yes, good 'ole Cloughie. I still say whomever made "The Damned United" knew squat about Cloughie.
