You have a point. But his approach seems better. Making it abundantly clear, his move to recuse was fatally flawed and force a public, direct, unequivocal resignation with an admission that he acted hastily. Sessions has done immeasurable harm to several important issues we were promised action on in the campaign.

After that statement, I’m thinking Sessions will be gone in time to be the main point of discussion on the Sunday shows.

I don’t think so. Sessions was the first to stick his neck out and support Trump for President because of his stance on immigration. Trump rewards loyalty with loyalty. Sessions will depart at the end of the first Trump term...

Trump knows if he fires him outright, he will be under more fire and will probably lose some support among the GOP senate base which he needs for SC appointments.

Recall those fake news stories a few weeks ago about how Trump demanded a loyalty statement from Comey and the FBI appointee? The left had Trump boxed in on the issue because if he demanded “loyalty” they would cite that as a reason to question any AG appointment if he fired Sessions.

Trump is making it very clear to Sessions, get out on your own dime. It is clear because he has no viable alternative such as removing his recusal. Sessions while a supporter of
the President’s message, mortally wounded himself with that one. Unfortunately, if he leaves, it will take half a year to replace him with that bunch in the Senate openly operating against him now.
