President Trump On Fire In NEW YORK TIMES Article!
IWB ^ | Pamela Williams

Posted on 07/20/2017 6:50:49 AM PDT by davikkm

President Trump is not happy with Attorney General Jess Sessions. He told NEW YORK TIMES he would never have hired Sessions if he knew he would recuse himself from the Russia investigation. Also, Trump warned Special Counsel Mueller over his conflict of interest. President Trump is right on both fronts, and it is good to see him taking charge of those around him, who do not seem to know the truth from a hole in the ground.

The following is an excerpt from the NEW YORK TIMES article:

Trump slammed Sessions’ recusal as “very unfair to the president” and said he would have never appointed Sessions attorney general if he had known he would do so.

I too am supremely disappointed with Jeff Sessions performance as AG. It would have been better if he remained a senator. We need a bull dog in the Justice Department. Someone willing tonstand up for Trump and go after the 0bama era crimes.

I guess I am reading the wrong news.

I keep reading about the DOJ now prosecuting people that should have been in jail long ago.

More deportations.

ICE going after sanctuary cities.

The Border Patrol spirit highest in years.

DHS moral highest ever.

Sessions is accomplishing much. But you must consider that the very worst elements of the swamp are in the departments over which he presides. For that reason, the job is not easy and will not be completed over night.

Agreed he should not have recused himself but at the same time remember that he did so only a short time after the election when the dims were determined to prove the new administration corrupt. He is only guilt of trying too hard to show he is not corrupt.

He wasn’t hired to protect Trump and family from themselves.

Oh, BS. Sessions walked away from the position damn near on Day One and has spent his time since then occupied with refighting the "reefer madness" drug wars of the 1980s. Trump and his family have not engaged any illegalities that needed Sessions to protect them from. Nonetheless, the now Democrat-controlled Justice Department has made it their primary mission to hobble Trump's agenda with endless investigations that continually move the goalposts.

As Attorney General, Jeff Sessions has been a profile of cowardice.

He is performing the job well. The only matter is the so-called Russian investigation is no longer under control of the Trump DOJ.

His stances on private prisons and civil asset forfeiture also suck.

Hopefully the President can show us how to deal with it when you make an error in hiring.

Sessions needs to fire Mueller and Rosenstein, then resign himself.

Sessions should un-recuse himself.

What a crock!! Are you freakin' serious? He handed the DOJ to the deep state. All the other 'go afters' are a matter of course and do not really take major involvement from the AG.

He left the executive branch wide open to persecution and prosecution.

Of course it is. Sessions can take command anytime he feels that the investigation is out of bounds. Hopefully, the comments of Trump are to get Sessions to do his damn job and reel Mueller in, or fire him.

said he would have never appointed Sessions attorney general if he had known he would do so.

The huge difference between Trump and your typical politician is that Trump is honest and tells it like it is. ANY other politician of course would feel the same way in this situation, but they would simply lie and say something like "I believe in justice and this wouldn't taint my judgement in wanting to pursue the truth".

This honesty is incredibly rare, and is one of the top reasons I'm a huge Trump fan.

I tell you- having a President who would actually say “You’re Fired” to someone he hired would be inspirational. As you say, EVERY POTUS must have felt the same way numerous times, we just finally have one with some cojones and honesty.
