Do you in turn donate to Free Republic?
I don't know whether Mr. Douglas donates or not, but I do, to the tune of an automatic $40.00 monthly.
I also appreciate the CFP articles that are put on FreeRepublic. I do not go to any other websites for news and information other than FreeRepublic. So anybody who adds anything to FR is adding to my information input. If I am not interested in what the article is about, I don't click on it.
Heck, we get threads directing us to YouTube presentations (Tommy Sotomayor .. spelling? .. being one) and who knows whether that gets something back to Mr. Sotomayor or the creator of the video. But it's still some value added to the FreeRepublic site.
Somebody earlier mentioned that it's like having somebody come to your party and walking off with a case of beer. How is that true? Anybody bringing an article or writing to our attention is adding to our options here; if you're not interested in reading it, don't. To use the party analogy, I see it as somebody who has come to the party with a DVD, from which he gets a dollar .. and it's not anyone at the party paying him that dollar .. for getting people to view it. If the DVD is trash, he won't get any dollars. If it's worthwhile to view, then, by golly, I don't begrudge him making money .. and not money from me, at that .. by showing me something that I want to see.
I don't see how CFP articles on FreeRepublic are taking any money away from Jim Rob. If they were, then that would be a different story. But neither Jim Rob or me .. and, most certainly, all of you who are worrying so desperately about these articles .. are losing anything by it being posted here.
