People who deserve it will still get it. Please do not fall into their trap that nobody will get help.
I think you’re right. But when you are not hungry, it is easy to fail to sympathize fully with someone who really is. And the same principle applies to all the “entitlements” the Democrats have manufactured over the years. If you don’t have to rely on your next Social Security check - which everyone else has been able to count on, all these years since 1937 - it is only too easy to feel smug when you meet someone for whom life circumstances have not made things quite as easy.I don’t mind admitting that my own career was not as long as I had expected, and Social Security checks were a big help. That is less the case now, thank God. Were everyone able to contribute their checks to their children and do it, that would cancel out the Payroll Tax, and effectively “buy back” the Social Security debt.
