Having "diversity" as a primary goal is one of the dumbest policies any institution could adopt. The use of that tiresome word seems to be increasing exponentially in the past year, and it was used too often before.
My former stepdaughter won a diversity award in her public middle school. It was the highest award the school could bestow. Higher than a lifesaving medal.
