The dirty secret is that most women want men to lead. To be in charge. They generally are more secure and feel most supported and taken care of by a guy who is in charge and leads.
The problem is this stupid society pits them against men in so many ways they don’t turn it off with their husbands and it becomes a pissing contest, for every decision around the house. The guy is the captain. She is the first mate. But everything she’s fed is to compete and fight against men, especially her husband. Dumb ol hubby just trying to control everything. It’s in conflict with her usual inner desire to have the guy be strong and take charge. And these moods and feelings totally vary depending on her hormones throughout the month.
And this is the stuff men are dealing with.

And the problem is, the emasculation of man has taken its toll and men do not know how to be strong leaders any more and in a weird sort of way, women are, without being aware of it, demanding the men earn the right to lead, much like how kids will constantly challenge parents to show who's in charge, IOW, and when the parents aren't strong and wrongly give in to the kids according to the latest psychological theory in child raising, the kids are insecure and act out.
