I have done that. And in the process of traveling to visit several times I have met other guys in the terminal going for the same reason as I was. Now that she is here, she got plugged into the local community of women from her home and they are all married to American men.
Based on chatting with many men who did the same as me, most flat out reject marriage with an American woman. Some were divorced, some were never married. So the decision to go foreign was simply to get married at all. The alternative was to live life as a bachelor.
As to why they prefer foreign women, that is easy to answer. Their wives are like my own. They are modest, almost all are or were in their youth, very pretty, they are kind and the men seem content with their choice. The women are also feminine. They have long hair, hour glass waistlines, they are good homemakers, they love children and the husbands seem to be satisfied with their life.
Metmom let me put it another way. If you are a guy and you watch the old TV shows and say, I’d like a woman like June Cleaver, you know you can’t. It’s 2017 and these women really don’t exist in any great number. But if you are willing to make the sacrifice of a language/cultural barrier, you can. In fact there are more woman available to choose from than there are willing men to take them.
I know looks and physical appearance are an asset, but, I’ll tell you what, Mr. America, take a good hard look as the average American men around you and see what WE have to choose from.
And I’m sure there are many foreign women who would LOVE the opportunity to get tied into an American man and American citizenship as a result.
