For weeks, rumors have circulated that Obama wiretapped Trump Towers during the 2016 campaign. Moreover, reports from the United States Intelligence community indicated that communications from Trump supporters, the Trump administration, and possibly the President himself, were incidentally collected. A careful observant cannot help but note the parallels between the current wiretapping scandal and the Watergate scandal occurrence from 1972.
In 1972, Richard Nixon covered up a series of events which would soon become known as the Watergate Scandal. These events included Nixon wiretapping his political foes and using the FBI, CIA, and IRS to investigate groups and persons whom he viewed in a disfavorable light. Eventually, a plethora of people in Nixons administration were arrested for their crimes and Nixon himself was forced to resign. Nearly seventy people in Nixons administration were indicted with almost fifty being found guilty of abuse of power.

“Deja Vu all over again.”
This affair will make Watergate look like a traffic ticket.
This time the media fully endorses a cover up.
If Nixon had been a democrat, the media would have covered up Watergate for him.
The Plumbers got caught, so the bugging never happened.
Nixon talked about using the IRS..and that is what got him in trouble. He did not actually do it.
Obama actually eavesdropped on Trumps people.
Obama actually used the IRS to hurt his opposition.
There are some significant differences between the two.
Nixon ad no knowledge of the wiretap attempt. That was never in question. The burglary was planned by others in the campaign unknown by Nixon. Nixon was accursed of cover up after he found out months later from one of the planners and for “obstructing justice”. Here we have a very real possibility that obama ordered these unmasked reports to be delivered it the White house and participated in the felony itself. Watergate was in large measure a smear by the left winged media.Very few have a clue what “watergate” actually was. Like this article is absolutely wrong in is the premise “These events included Nixon wiretapping his political foes”.Never true. It remains to be seen what obama did on these felonies. Notice he has fled the country.
“This affair will make Watergate look like a traffic ticket.”
Correction: SHOULD make watergate...
I have grown weary of the false hope that this will result in the scandal it deserves to be. Every day the MSM turns it back to the Russia BS. The WasPos calls for Nunes to be investigated for even mentioning Trump was being survelled. So don’t hold your breath waiting for the right thing to happen.
Where is Jeff Sessions?
The break-in on June 17 that resulted in the burglars being caught was the second break-in...the bugs planted in May were not working as needed.
He was on the ropes last time I saw him...
“Nixon (h)ad no knowledge of the wiretap attempt.”
What wiretap?
Watergate WAS a successful operation to find proof of TWO things:
1) The DNC was laundering money for the Teamsters Union
2) The DNC was running a prostitution ring out of their HQ
The ‘burglars’ found this proof, weeks later the DNC realized it and began the full-court press on the GOP so the DNC elite would not go prison.
Fact.
American socialists have been determined to evade the totalitarian implications of socialism. Thus, they call socialism liberalism. And thus, they follow longstanding tradition of suppressing - by propagandistic abuse of the very word for it - the very concept of society:SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by our wickedness; the former promotes our happiness POSITIVELY by uniting our affections, the latter NEGATIVELY by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher.Journalism is negative (if it bleeds, it leads) towards society, but it promotes the evil (albeit necessary) of government. Journalists consider influence over government to be its birthright, and as such journalists are naive about the possible - nay, inevitable - evil of big government. And journalists are cynical - calling negativity objective - toward the blessing of society.Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil . . . - Thomas Paine, Common Sense (1776)
Yes, the Clinton Organized Crime Syndicate forever cured me of hoping that any evil leftist will be held accountable by either the leftist media, leftist bureaucracy, leftist legislature, or leftist judiciary.
(N.B., I refuse to believe we have many real conservatives in the RNC: They are pretty much all leftists in rightists’ clothing.)
