I’ve seen that one cannot be fiscally conservative without being socially conservative as well. Once one embraces the libertine social philosophy, then big government comes with that by default to support its existence.

I don’t think your first sentence is true but your second one probably is.

I thing you can be a fiscal conservative regardless of your social philosphy. But a social liberal will likely be a fiscal liberal.
