Barris was great on The Gong Show...not high culture, to be sure, but fun to see “plain folks” get their 30 seconds of time in the spotlight
If not mistaken, Chuck Barris had over 5 shows running on network TV at one time and was one of the most successful game show producers in Hollywood.
