Precisely!
A counterintelligence investigation of Trump and his associates based entirely on a false premise. To wit, that the Russian government influenced the presidential election, for which there is no proof whatsoever. There’s not even proof/evidence that “Russia”, i.e., the Russian government, hacked the DNC account of John Podesta, only that some of the IP addresses - not all - tracked back to Russia (assuming they were not spoofed).
What there IS proof of, however, is that electronic surveillance of at least one of Trump’s associates - Mike Flynn - did, in fact, occur. The existence of a transcript of Flynn’s conversation with Amb. Kislyak is that proof, despite the objections of Comey and others. If the FBI did not conduct that surveillance, then who did? Whose responsibility is it to identify the source of that transcript and how it was obtained? The FBI’s.
What about the leaking of what should have been classified information? Isn’t the Bureau the least bit interested in that, a genuine counterintelligence/insider threat issue...?
They will get around to that eventually. Right now they are busy locating a football jersey.
