I cannot tell any of you if what they are accusing President Trump and his Associates of is true. I can tell you if it is, this Country will be torn apart. As usual, the hearing on Capitol Hill with FBI Director James Comey and NSA Director Michael Rogers, was geared toward finding guilt of wrongdoing within the Trump Team, while the Obama and Clinton Team remain squeaky clean.
Comey opened up by announcing the Bureau is investigating possible links and coordination between Russia and associates of President Donald Trump as part of a broader probe of Russian interference in last year’s presidential election. The extraordinary revelation, and the first public confirmation of an investigation that began last summer, came at the outset of Comey’s opening statement in a congressional hearing examining Russian meddling and possible connections between Moscow and Trump’s campaign. He acknowledged that the FBI does not ordinarily discuss ongoing investigations, but said he’d been authorized to do so given the extreme public interest in this case.
It was made clear that there was no proof that Russia tampered with the 2016 Election Voting System to help Trump win. Instead this investigation will be looking at coordination between the Trump Camp and Russia. They stressed the word, “coordination.” They accused the following people of Russian ties:
Roger Stone – knew Podesta’s emails were going to be hacked – communicated with Guccifer 2 Paul Manafort – involved with Ukraine – lobbyed for Russia – should have registered in the US as a foreign agent. Manafort involved with Ukraine corruption case – Ukraine asked government for assistance to access to Paul Manafort – DOJ confirmed assistance on this matter. General Michael Flynn – should have registered in the US as a foreign agent of Turkey and of Russia

The only reason I can think of is that Comey isn’t as bad as he looks and is doing things behind the scenes, or knows stuff that Trump knows about and is willing to go for it at some future point, or...??? Can’t think of any other reason why he is still here.

Well....no. That’s why I asked. I can usually find some rhyme or reason in most anything, but this has me more perplexed than anything in a long time.

No, Jeff Sessions made a huge strategic error in recusing himself from any investigations pertaining to the 2016 Trump campaign, the general election and alleged Russian influence. Therefore, his second in command at the Justice Dept., an Obama holdover, gave the green light to Comey to announce today that the FBI was investigating the Trump/Russia connection since last July.
Sessions, an otherwise smart, good man, really screwed up in abdicating any control over the Dems in their “the Russians gave Trump the election” faux meme. That was a terrible error in judgment on Sessions’ part. You can’t fight Libs with one hand tied behind your back. Sessions may have been morally right to do so, but the Dems are not moral; they are dirty fighters and we better learn how to stoop to their level when necessary, and play hardball, or we will be like the Christians fed to the lions.

You know President Trump has an unfortunate tendency to be imprecise in his language. That’s why Salena Zito says that he should be taken seriously, but not literally.
I’ve thought that Trump kept Comey on because he/they knew it was Comey who did the leaking. Goudy also suspects it which is why he got Comwy to admit under oath it was a felony.
Why didn’t Goudy ask Comey outright, while under oath, if he had a hand in the lying/leaking...
