I watched this interview this morning, and the story is correct, however my take is a bit different, and to a certain extent, I agree. This 3 part rollout with the best bits to be released last seems wrong to me. I agree that we should put it all out at once. And if we don’t have consensus from the right, let it sit for about 3 months where Obamacare will cave in on itself by its own weight. In the waiting period, take its teeth away so it becomes insolvent quicker.
So IMO the 20 million people on Obamacare are still there because the have no income, essentially welfare, or they are rich enough to be able to afford the skyrocketing costs, or finally have such horrendous medical costs that its the cheapest way to get care (what a terrible situation). The way to really kill Obamacare, is to mandate that the Senate and Congress immediately have to go onto the plan, and their Cadillac plan ends. You will never see congress and the senate move quicker when their butts are on the line.
Finally, whatever plan they and we end up with we will all have to live with, them included.
Once they have a personal stake in the fight, they will start to cooperate for their own self interest.
