Odd you should mention towheads -— I was thinking the very same thing earlier this week. When I was growing up, there were always some blonds in my class; I was one of them until about high school. Lately I’ve been struck by how seldom I see blonds these days. It’s all indistinguishable black and brown kids. (I live in Chicago, where over 90% of public school students are black or Hispanic.)

Solution: Home schooling and $10k tax credits. That will close down the schools. Immigrants can go to Catholic schools where the nuns work for free.

The data point is not accurate.
23% of school kids are children of “immigrants”, and there’s at least as many legals as illegals.
Not that this is a material difference other than it irks me when authors makes statements that are not factually correct, and with the intent to inflame the ignorant.
If true, imagine all the money we could save by deporting those criminals. Imagine how much better public schools could be for those who are here legally, including the girls and minorities who are usually hardest hit by any change!

If we save only half of the 23% of that cost (keeping fixed costs such as buildings and tenured teachers, and ignoring inflation and other cost increases), that’s still $71B a year. This is far more than the cost to build and patrol a brand new border wall every year. As for the cost of sending criminals back to their own counties, you can fly them first class for $12k each and still save money.
Deport them all. Build the wall. Fine employers who hire illegals so much that they choose to obey the law. Problem solved, and money saved!
I read this stat before and it was children of immigrant and not illegals.

NJ is probably over 10% by now; Americans have been fleeing while we’ve been a de facto “sanctuary” for years at this point. Also, few Americans have any children anymore...
We’d save money on the “free” lunches we provide them as well - for the illegals in particular, there is no documented income...
23% live in “immigrant households”, many of which are legal immigrants and, to a lesser degree, refugees.
So no it isn’t one quarter of kids have an illegal alien parent. Instead, it is that 12%-15% of the population is an immigrant of some kind and they have 50-100% more children than the nativeborn.
And these stats get inflated by those having one immigrant parent and one citizen parent.
