The 226 is the only pistol thats ever felt better going off and recoiling in
my hand than the 1911 or my Hi-Power.

I agree...the weight of it dampens the recoil to the point where you feel
like you are shooting a a much smaller caliber.

The trigger is atrocious for such a highend handgun, IMHO. Understanding that it's somewhat the nature of the beast in a SADA gun, it still could have been a little bit less mushy.

That said, pretty much all stock triggers are garbagey these days...Designed by lawyers I guess. Best trigger I've ever felt was on a Japanese Type 14 Nambu...No mush at all, nice and light.
