The writer should have included one of the most restrictive gun laws in the country, which leaves CA residents virtually helpless once outside their property.
Also the asinine law regarding plastic bags should be mentioned.

IIRC Clintons mentioned in the state of the union that there were no nukes pointed at the US (Russia and china). I think circa 1994 0r 95. When he left office China had missiles that could reach the west coast of the US. He approved the sale of Loral Missile guidance technology to China and the Cray supercomputers to run the software. The author states California has the highest income tax rate, this is true, but then after Prop 13, CAlifornians don’t get raped on their property taxes like some in other states do. California absolutely has it’s problems, but what is funny as hell is how many states are worse in some areas and many are sliding into parity in other areas. But hey they have the pleasure of much more frequent floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, their own growing populations of illegals, muslims and home grown psycho liberals who do a hell of a lot more rioting/burning/looting/assaulting then miserable old California. And I love the one post about California gun laws......can you say New York and New Jersey.

Some of the stuff in the article is a little goofy like the radiation and the Russian threat.
But most of what the author said is pretty accurate.
As others have said add to it the terrible gun laws, the crazy high cost of living, the super liberal politics and it’s a mess.
For those of us who can’t leave at least for now, it’s become an endurance contest. At least the weather and landscape is still beautiful.
By far. It is not humid here & other than the last few months, hardly ever rains. Warm/hot during the day, and cool at night. Even in the winter, a cold day is 55 degrees.
You want to plan a picnic, or out door event 2 weeks or months in the future? No problem, because the weather will always be good. Never too windy to play golf, tennis or any other outdoor activity. My kids play baseball almost every weekend, year round and very,very rarely get rained out.
And because of the weather - no bugs. You don't go around slapping yourself trying to kill mosquitoes or waving away flies.
