No McCain fan am I - However, what Wikileaks found was (a) a statement by Russian authorities that they are in receipt of a campaign donation request letter from John McCain and (b) not the letter from John McCain their claim references.
As Wikileaks notes, it may have been misinformation Russia put out on the expectation that an outfit like Wikileaks would pick it up and make it public and then it would go negatively towards McCain.
Sorry, I take back what I said. I had not looked at the “download” option, which provided for obtaining the McCain document.
However, it appears to be a generic fund letter mass mailed to unverified (as to who) addressees in some database. Given that it is a New York City address, I doubt any human being (or program) inspected the addresses to filter out any they should not be mailing to. I can’t even count how many Obama and Billary fundraising appeals I received, though I voted GOP for many years.
After that, the main reason for voting for him was only SCOTUS and confirmations (DeVos). It was a horrible decision to have to make but necessary for the survival of the Republic.

Me too. It’s mostly the size of the donation that I have a hard time believing, McCain’s not going to settle for something that small. And this is coming from a guy who thinks McCain should be hung for treason for arming ISIS and Al Qudia in Syria.
