Everyone who mishandles classified material are breaking the law. The people who set up the system to pass the information to McCain, the person feeding it to the media and the enemedia publishing it are all subject to 10 years per violation.

Not necessarily. Could be multiple leaks here.
1. Someone (party 1) leaks the raw intel to McCain.
2. McCain (party 2) leaks the intel to the Opposition Party. (and whoever else.)
Both parties are guilty.
It doesn't matter how McCain got the transcripts. If he sent them to the press, then he committed a felony.
