Mindless (and erroneous) speculation. Flynn himself publicly stated that he was not forthright to the VP. But, I suppose this idle speculation does serve an intended purpose of stirring the pot to a salaciously frothy level... and thereby assisting the Leftists.

“Flynn himself publicly stated that he was not forthright to the VP”

No, he said something quite different.

“In the course of my duties as the incoming National Security Advisor, I held numerous phone calls with foreign counterparts, ministers, and ambassadors. These calls were to facilitate a smooth transition and begin to build the necessary relationships between the President, his advisors and foreign leaders. Such calls are standard practice in any transition of this magnitude.
Unfortunately, because of the fast pace of events, I inadvertently briefed the Vice President Elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian Ambassador.”

He characterized the conversation accurately. Pence the idiot ran around speaking in absolutes from generalities. The fact here is that Pence opposed Flynn’s ideas on Syria and Russia and so he took him down. This was GOPe striking back.

Pence is to Trump as Bush was to Reagan. A GOPe plant designed to moderate and take over as soon as practical.
