A failed religious Prophecy.
There was a book written several year ago. I believe it is entitled “When Prophecy Fails” and it examines what believers do after a prophesy fails to come true. It is quite funny but the demos are following the books description to the letter.
With the Russellites they became Jehovahs Witnesses and then completely forgot they were ever Russellites.
