I heard a couple of stories about Maher from owner of an improv club in a major city. First, Maher was one of only two comics banned from the club for bad behavior. Maher threw a fit at the airport because the club limo driver picked up Maher's luggage and waited for him in baggage claim, but Maher had to carry his own briefcase from the gate down to baggage claim. This infuriated him and he berated the club limo guy. Because of that, the club banned Maher for severl years.

Second stories is that Maher was at a movie party in LA and among the guests were two high dollar call girls. Someone else paid for them come to the party and just be available. It was not really that kind of party and people were behaving themselves. Eventually Maher grabbed the girls and led them upstairs, saying loudly "Well, if no one else is going to use these prostitutes, I will!"

He once told someone on air (maybe back when he was sleeping on friend jay Leno’s couch) that he always masturbates right before he goes on stage to do his comedy act.

In my opinion Maher is the ugliest man alive, inside and out.
