Cardamom’s up there in price, near saffron, iirc.
You know what I found? Amazon has cardamom pods for a reasonable price. Whole cardamom will last a long, long time. So I just grind up what I need - and no waste. And it is amazing freshly ground!
It’s about $25.00+ per pound. So, yeah, it’s not cheap.
I think it will keep nicely for quite some time.
BTW - It’s what is used to flavor Earl Gray tea..!
