So I take it you believe the amber alert system is a bad idea too because we have no victims of a crime?
No dummy, when there is an amber alert, you actually have people reporting a potential crime (kidnapping) to the police and naming a victim (the child named in the alert).
Amber alerts are also put out by people who actually have legal authority, instead of amateur internet detectives who don’t seem to understand basic concepts like “due process” or “evidence”.
