Monday in Miami after attending a Martin Luther King Day event, while commenting on the controversy over Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) saying of President-elect Donald Trump he didnt see the president-elect as a legitimate president and Trumps tweeted response, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said he hoped the Trump would have responded differently given everything that John Lewis means to our country.

Little bitch pool boy
John Lewis is a liar.
He claimed Trump would be his only missed inauguration as he called Trump “illegitimate”, yet, he also called Bush “illegitimate” and missed his inauguration too.
John Lewis is a black racist liar!
My bad, it does land soundly on the RINO party. Given the Rubio choice, personally I would not have voted for a senate candidate. Here in Kalifornicate we had two democrats to choose from to fill Boxer’s senate seat and I did not vote for either. Kalifornicate has gone full dictatorial democrat and the Repub party is dead. Commie snowflakes abound.
John Lewis doesn’t mean jack squat to me, Marco. Neither do you.
So? Most of his colleagues are RINOs and 'Rats ... I wouldn't get along with them either.
In this case, there is nothing wrong with what Trump did. Lewis’ attack was over the top, and Trump’s response was mild in comparison. Lewis then claimed with such a sorrowful tone about how this would be the first time in 30 years as a congressman he would not attend an inauguration...which of course was not true, and that isn’t something that could just slip your mind - a presidential inauguration is a quite a major event. Trump then pointed out that was Lewis said was flat out not true...why is that more outrageous than actually saying something that is not true?
Marco Rubio should not have responded at all. This is absurd. What Lewis 50 years ago did mean a lot to this country, but that doesn’t allow him a license to do anything he wants that is completely out of line without criticism in response.
I thought we’d heard the last of him, but I guess the media always has an opening for anti Trump remarks from republican traitors
