The US needs a way to detect tunnels. Can ground penetrating radar do that?
Yes. That’s how the ROK and US Armies found the North Korean tunnels under the DMZ.
From Google: Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) is a geophysical method that uses radar pulses to image the subsurface. This nondestructive method uses electromagnetic radiation in the microwave band (UHF/VHF frequencies) of the radio spectrum, and detects the reflected signals from subsurface structures. GPR can have applications in a variety of media, including rock, soil, ice, fresh water, pavements and structures. In the right conditions, practitioners can use GPR to detect subsurface objects, changes in material properties, and voids and cracks.

I BET someone will invent a tunnel-detector VERY soon.
Then, maybe they smugglers will use ocean vessels.
The kicker is to shut down the American DEMAND for drugs. But, knowing my own fellow Americans, that will never happen. Americans apparently NEED drugs to get through life.
They REALLY need Jesus, but they won't do that either. That requires self-sacrificing love. Drug users love only themselves.
Excellent question. That needs to be dealt with.
Mexico will then have to deal with its own problems.
“The US needs a way to detect tunnels.”
Dogs can do that, esp. dogs like weiner dogs.
Sonar. Motion detectors. A whole host of things that can.
Hell, in the dark ages, they could detect mining under castle walls by the enemy. AND, they were good enough to counter tunnel and end up joining the tunnels nearly exactly in match. Whole battles would then be fought under ground in those tunnels. Can you imagine what that was like?
