Yeah and 7 of the “effective” faithless electors came straight from HRC. Only 2 came from Trump.
If all states voted like ME and NE, Clinton would have likely won about 12 EV’s from Texas - but that would be made up with Trump winning about 14 EV’s from California and about 10 EV’s from New York.
You’re missing the point.
The Clinton electors had nothing to lose by not voting for Clinton. She lost.
Instead, they used a ruse to set a precedent for future elections to be used against Republicans.
