Does she not know that Trump assured Carrier that he'll reduce the regulatory climate and lower taxes across the board, which will help not only Carrier but all American businesses overall. How is this crony capitalism? As far as tax credits or subsidies are concerned, those came from the state of IN.
The point is, is that now's not the time to be engaging in this self-defeating crap. Trump already got his hands full by fighting off Hillary from stealing the election from him and walking on eggshells while Obola is still in the WH. Discuss this privately with Trump then if you disagree with it, but going public only divides Trump's support and now the leftist media has a talking point. Who knows, will Palin now do an interview on CNN or MSNBC bashing Trump?
I love Palin to death, bought both of her books, but this was truly a boneheaded move.
I don’t care if he used a baseball bat and broke some knees. He keep those peoples jobs. That’s not counting the jobs of those that depend on their business, like, grocery stores, gas stations, local restaurants, kids clothing and others. Imagine losing 1000 customers because they had to go on welfare. What would be the cost to the tax base? Damn.
Ta da! That was my thought too. Maybe she’s not getting a cabinet post.
We dont yet know terms of the public/private deal that was cut to make the company stay, but lets hope every business is equally incentivized to keep Americans working in America.(snip)
Gotta have faith the Trump team knows all this. And Ill be the first to acknowledge concerns over a deal cut by leveraging taxpayer interests to make a manufacturer stay put are unfounded once terms are made public.
Exactly. She’s not Trump bashing. She’s just making sure that we don’t forget who we are and what we stand for.
The Hill piece is an outright lie.
Governor Palin did not “bash” PEOTUS; in fact she congratulated the people of Indiana over the deal.
Her concerns were about Big Government picking winners instead of letting the market sort it out. But she also expressed confidence in Mr. Trump.
This is another example of the MSM trying to stir up trouble.
Yes, I think it was her way of expressing her curiosity as to how he made that deal and her hopes that it and other deals in the future are done the right way.
How about those Americans working for Trane?
Eric Boling displayed some figures Friday on The Five.
Basically, they showed that Carrier workers earn over $70k a year. That’s $70mil for 1000 workers. The IRS gets about $25mil and IN gets around $2-5mil in taxes.
IN has offered only around $700+mil and Feds = nothing.
Workers, IRS and the State of IN all win. .......JMO
Amen and well said!
President Elect Trump needs are full 100% backing at this point.
Enemies like George Soros and the Democrats are attempting to split President Elect’s Trump base in order to weaken our Will and turn this country around.
Please Sarah talk to President Elect Trump privately. President Elect Trump needs all the support he can get right now.
Besides Carrier is investing 16 Million or over twice as much as they are getting in savings, over bogus regulations, in a new facility for the long term in the United States.
Palin and Coulter seem to be having .....moments.
” I can see relevancy disappear from my back door”!
It’s called “integrity”, folks.
Then I guess Trump should do nothing to try to save American jobs.
What would you suggest?
I suggest he that he follows Palin’s advice and not get off track, or prepare to face her in 2020.
What is Palins advice?
Tarrifs? Tax cuts for businesses? Lower worker wages?
What is exactly the right mix?
A level playing field. Is that too much to ask that one business not be favored over another, or will the corporations with more extensive government connections and exclusive contracts continue to have the advantage over their competitors?
A level playing field is where it needs to be, no doubt.
I can see you like to speak in a general sense.
My question is do we level that playing field by putting tariffs on goods coming from Mexico? Do we provide incentives for businesses to stay here? Do we
reduce the regulations? Do we lower worker wages?
What does a level playing field mean to you?
Well said. Thanks.
Yes on tariffs, because it’s the only way to keep our trading partners from cheating us, yes on reducing regulations and taxes across the board for all so the government doesn’t play favorites, or we’ll continue to be stuck in the same boat we’re in now, and yes on securing the borders so that wages can rise for American workers again.
What does a level playing field mean you? Does it mean we have to reduce our workers wages to that of the slave wages paid by other nations, or hire illegals who will work for less in order to compete in the world?
