A faithless elector simply means an elector who casts a vote against the candidate he or she is pledged to.

She's supposed to vote for Hillary. She says she will vote for another Republican, other than Trump, while not voting for Hillary. She was probably a Bernie supporter.

If she said she was voting for Bernie, it's not news, but since she mentioned Trump's name it's news. The uniformed Dems will cheer for her. The Republicans will scratch their heads.

What better way to get your name in the news.
