Ford can go to India and stay there, we’ll just put stiff import taxes on ‘em or send independent inspectors to verify there are no manufacture defects, and if so refuse to import.
Have to admit, the only Ford truck I remotely put any kind of trust in is the old-school models, run like a tank. The new ones, well...saw a brand-new $73K truck with all the bells and whistles break down at a red signal, poor man was calling for a wrecker. My fav, old-school Chevys up to 1992 models, Dodge always rocks.
Toyota’s shelling out $15,000 a crack to certain year-model Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia model dealerships to pay for frame rust damage (manufacturer did not put anti-rust coating on frames, says 15% inspected will need repair [WE’LL SEE...]). Thankfully my parent’s vehicle was spared this one, but not the other with the passenger-side airbag that blows out metal fragments (no worries, it was replaced).
Whatever happened with body sheet metal on all the new stuff? Especially pickups with acres of fenders, doors, etc. It’s so thin you could stove it in with your hand or pop it out again.
