The dems and their media minions have used polls as a form of psychological warfare for many years now, and more often than not, it works. The primary reason it failed this time is the “alternative or new media”, and the fact that Trump started calling out the media for its bias and dishonesty from the start, and the people responded by ignoring the media to a large extent. Proof of that can be seen in the plunging ratings of CNN, and the plummeting revenue loses of the NY Times. Several other papers also reported large scale subscription cancellations for having endorsed Clinton or followed an entirely negative line towards Trump.

Election night was laughable. Even at Fox News who waited eons to put states into Trump's camp. On one of the networks they were actually putting Texas into play for Clinton. And Georgia just sat there in the undecided column, which was ridiculous.

I used Fox News online for the map, but I hate the messy way they display results on television.

I actually found the BBC great for analysis. They seemed to know more about internal state demographics than CNN or Fox.
