I hate to break this to you, but if you default... and then make good payments for 6 months or so, you can get your loans forgiven today... Ex used to work with folks who defaulted on loans, literally all they had to do was make new agreement, pay for 6 months and then ask for forgiveness and it would be written completely off..

Can you find one source proving this program? The only school loan debt forgiveness I am aware of involves certain types of service.

my ex wife worked with an office tied to the EOC on a college campus here and her job was literally to get folks to make their payments on their defaulted loans... After about 6 months they could file for forgiveness and they would get it.
