My wife had it on, and I heard Guttfeld and even KG (Juan was no surprise) apparently buying into the “Russians are hacking into and interfering with our elections thesis.”
Personally, without convincing proof, I think this is a convenient scapegoat story created by the Democrats. Assange is doing the American public a favor with his hacks, although I’m not sure many appreciate it. And, to simply denigrate him as an output spout for Russian-sourced hacks strikes me as ridiculous.
Moreover, the Leftist and MSM hyprocrisy here is astounding. The Trump vulgarity tape of last week was an illegal tape. The release of his 1995 tax returns (unless his staff is punking us) was illegal. No one seems to care, because the content “is so important.” Here, where the thinking of Hillary and her confidantes is laid bare, the MSM/Leftist argument is “Don’t look at the content, because it is illegally obtained.”
Bringing it back to your post, I found it depressing to find a couple of the normally sane Five buying into this. I wonder if it’s because of an editorial tilt at the top.
