Your schools have your kids for about 8 hours a day. You probably see and talk to them for about an hour or two. When they go to college the hours a day can go far beyond that range and they may not be home for weeks.

So I think it's the indoctrination camps and their socialist training methods. Add liberal media online, on theit TVs, and their phones....-and voila! A know it all that doesn't want to acknowledge your existence but wants your money for gas, entertainment, lodging, food, etc...

In short, the schools have trained your kids to be indoctrinated sociopaths. The only way you can avoid it is limiting their exposure to any media (TV, computer, cell phones, etc) and doing things with them that are fun. It doesn't have to cost anything either. I have a daughter-in-law who has several young adults that will be graduating from HS soon. She set rules and held to them if they isolated them teaching them there are consequences (one lost her cell phone in her sophomore year and has never gotten it back). They grew up under the guidelines I mentioned. They are well-mannered (not like the spoiled brats you seemthese days everywhere) and are appreciative of everything they get. I'm very proud of her for who she is...: )
