To: crusty old prospector

I wanted to get a 22 when I was ten years old, my father said no. He ok’d a shotgun though due to the range of bullet travel.

I remember the pre 1964 days when the 5 & Dime and Woolworth’s stores sold all the old military rifles. They were $3 or $5 depending upon caliber and condition. They were all just stuck in trash cans by the checkout counter.

When I was growing up, a new pair of blue jeans had so much stiffner that we could shoot each other in the a$$ with a 22.
