I guess football can be kind of exciting. There have been a few times (can count on one hand) when I’ve gotten into it for a tiny bit, but I’m glad it’s not and never has been a way of life for me. I see it so much on Facebook with people. They worship their team and the players they treat as if they are gods. With some people, it’s almost a sickness and obsession. I don’t get into any sport, really. I didn’t watch one smidgen of the Olympics. And, to be honest, I don’t like the ghetto/popular culture that seems to infiltrate many American sports. Now the players are all gonna me outspoken activists like Hollywood “stars”! There are players that are exceptions, of course, but on the whole, these millionaire thug idiots don’t interest me. I know everyone’s different, and the die-hards will stick with it no matter what.
What? you mean Elway wasn’t god?/sarc. I used to be a big fan of football in general, but have changed over the years.

I’ve seen so many co-workers in the past who were completely consumed by this nonsense. They were like wannabe Al Bundys proudly proclaiming “I played high school football!” Some to the point of even using the term “we” when a favorite team won or lost. All I ever got was a blank stare when I asked how many point HE made in that game.
