I vaguely seem to remember that some people spear hunted boar in the East Texas swamps back in the 60’s. But I was young and had many other things on my mind.
Texas does allow primitive hunting (I believe a special season or license). I remember reading about it.
The weapon I was reading about was called an atl-atl,
and has been used for more than mere centuries.
