Scott Adams discusses his theory that Donald Trump has scripted the arc of his presidential campaign to follow the model of a three-act movie, with himself as the protagonist.

Huh?
Adams is a legend in his own mind....
I love it !
Dilbert on Trump
Great cartoons.
Microsoft quality on his politics.
Stick to Dilbert.
Run along, n00b. Your red queen is about to self destruct and Kaine take her place ... or worse, Biden! But then you don’t care, so long as you get paid for thepropag-work
Actually, though he doesn’t like Trump he’s shown a lot of clarity about Trump’s strengths.
I actually see it a bit differently. I think the Trump campaign is operating on a subconscious program that mirrors the trajectory of his life.
Trump had ascended in business, had a fall and relatively lean years, and then reached greater success. I think that’s his preferred life arc though it’s not deliberate.
G
His campaign is essentially an accelerated Re enactment of his life trajectory.
Everyone is new at some point. We aren’t country club republicans here.
I enjoyed the article. Everyone has an opinion. Lighten up :)
Donald Trump is no “act”...He is the real thing...Unlike most of the “professional politicians” that litter our landscape....
If there is a 3rd act it won’t be abandoning his position on the wall and immigration as Dilbert guy suggests. It may be his regret for some name calling as he suggested today in a speech. Maybe he is all business from here on out and shows wavering or undecided voters that he is the disciplined, mature business man that built an empire.
Scott Adams always has an interesting perspective. Certainly a better use of time than reading the 10th repost of the same story.
I haven’t read the article but that’s how I view the shift we’re seeing.
Act I - Big, bold, build movement (Lewandowski)
Act II - More professional, lockdown delegates for nomination (Manafort)
Act III - General election (presidential) messaging (Bannon/Conway)
I think they’re more phases than acts, but Trump seems adaptable and is approaching this in a business-like fashion as the campaign seasons change.
He’s live on periscope — right now
Can watch later too

As much as I don’t like his political views, believe it or not he predicted Trump would win the election long ago.
I vaguely remember him putting that out there
I sort of saw them as booster rocket stages. Lewandowski needed for liftoff, Manafort to break orbit...
Correct in that. I remember it well only due to the fact I had never before heard his name...only knew of Dilbert.
At the time, it was felt the man had good judgement...TRUMP was a favorite to win from this direction when his hat was flung into the ring.
I agree— Scott Adams is always interesting and has predicted Trump winning from the get-go... I have thought the same thing, that he accepts a lull in order to finish strong...
Exactly how I saw it too.
Hes live on periscope right now
Trump is one hard charging dude. He did say he doesn’t need much sleep.
Meanwhile, She Who Must be Obeyed is taking a three day early weekend to rest up before a campaign event on Sunday.
