They don’t necessarily become riflemen, but rather are assigned to the unit’s S-1, S-2, S-3, and S-4 shops. The female recruits in your substandard meme didn’t necessarily enlist to become infantry. But then again, as a shipmate, you would know that already. And just for your info, the recruits in your wonderful meme are assigned to 4th Recruit Training Battalion, MCRD P.I., South Carolina.
