I hope he wins, but it was a mistake for him to say what he said yesterday, for two reasons:
1. As a general rule, you never get in the way of your opponents destroying themselves.
2. At least temporarily, it united them (and the media, same thing) in a spasm of indignation against him, smoothing over their divisions and directing all ire against him.
Even if it is a distraction from her coronation, it has put him on the defensive and given people who are still undecided (not us here, but out in the non-political world) one more reason for pause.
Respectfully, NWREP
Again, I hope he wins.
It was hilarious!
I saw it live and took it as humor.
what did he say?
What are these 30,000 emails Trump is talking about?
How did they get lost?
Um, it was a mistake for WHO to say WHAT?
??
(utterly confused by this post)
2. It was BRILLIANT in that it has forced the left to admit that Hitlery sent & received matters of national security!
Half of us are saying the dems fell for the trap. (Which I think is the spin). The other half believes as you do. They were on the defense until what he said allowed them to go on the offense.
You need to be more specific. I think I can guess but shouldn’t have to.
I think it was brilliant. The morning of HRC’s convention speech and people are still talking about Trump AND Hillary’s emails. It was a monumental headline grab the likes of which we have probably never seen before during a convention.
I agree, it was a mistake for 0 to claim the country is on the right track. What a joke! He remains a laughingstock.
He’s absolutely the worst president in history.
It was ALL over the news yesterday. How did you miss it? Trump--Russia--e-mails.
Two basics...
Who...is the "him" you're talking about?
What...is "that"?
Where is also important, but not in this case I think.
Are you talking about Bill Clinton, Leon Panetta or Obama?
I’m sure the Trump team will be knocking on your door any second now with offers and contracts for a consulting position with the campaign.
Tongue-in-cheek humor interpreted as such by those who are already fully onboard, providing momentary mirth
vs
Potential deal-killer in the eyes of the non-political crowd who are undecided
You tell me.
Oh.
Sorry I didn’t watch the news yesterday. Too much about the Dem convention, at the moment.
Concur. It was a tactical blunder. Trump needs to be more careful with his off the cuff remarks.
Krauthammer (Trump Hater) thought it was brilliant because it forced the democrats to talk about Hilary’s emails again and to acknowledge she may have erased something more than wedding plans.
