The black demographic moved from Republican (freeing the slaves, right to vote, etc.) to Democrat during the Great Depression, when FDR started promising freebies.

I suppose it could go back that far...but I was thinking along the lines of "The War On Poverty" which that filthy racist LBJ "declared" in 1964 (I looked it up after my post).

LBJ is reported to have once commented, regarding the "War On Poverty" something like "I'll have those ******* voting democrat for the next 200 years."

I don't have the first clue if he ever said that but it's easy to see how the leaders of Rat Party at that time *believed* it.

Whether he said so or not, (I’ve also heard that story, but I’m not sure it’s been verified).

But it sure fits the picture, doesn’t it? We’ve spent TRILLIONS on the War on Poverty, and Poverty is winning big time. Including poverty of values.

Here's some of it:

"These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference."

“I’ll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” ~ Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One
