Second, it was the squandering of a priceless political opportunity. Speaking slots that prominent in national conventions make or break careers. Such a slot in in the 2004 Democrat convention launched 0bama's national political career. Cruz had his shot and turned it into flavorless sludge. He won't get another one.
Given these factors, if he couldn't bring himself to endorse Trump despite his promise, and I could understand that, he should have declined the speaking slot. What he did do didn't hurt Trump, it hurt Cruz.
I think Cruz must have thought we, the voters, would
admire his “principled” and “manly” stance in “defending”
his wife. However, TWO WRONGS DON’T MAKE A RIGHT!
Cruz broke his pledge (no matter how he tries to parse it).
He should have just declined the speaking slot and kept his
piehole ZIPPED! That way we wouldn’t have seen his true
colors, which are not RED, WHITE & BLUE! (Fang & I voted
for Cruz in the primary & now I’m regretting it. I HOPE
Fang did not contribute to his campaign fund.)
Now, I’ve got to get over this crap and concentrate on
doing everything I can to block HITLER-Y’S hook or crook
election! Which is what CRUZ should have done!!!!
