I prefer the east coast. I also recommend more south than you are talking.

I own a place in the Jupiter area and love it. The weather is more consistent and recreation and resturants are terrific.

Delray Beach we did - not moving entirely though love NH too much.

All these folks looking in northern Florida - you shouldn’t do it without exploring between Jupiter and Lauderdale. You can get gated or un-gated, cheap or expensive, golf or not, country or suburban, etc. etc. etc.
