I had one too.It was a Grundig IIRC.Didn't spend huge amounts of time with it but one thing I'd do fairly frequently was go up to our attic and tune in the news from Radio Australia.I still can hear that signature melody they'd play at the top of every hour.A couple of times I managed to get Radio Tirana (Albania).My God...THAT was funny!

And yes, Radio Tirane was a hoot! And they came in so clear!
